ravenclawhyomin asked: `[ owl ]; Hey, I heard you were back at Hogwarts. I'm relieved that you're safe. Sorry that I haven't been around. - Hyomin.

[ o w l ] I am, it’s kind of… comforting, in a way to be back - I guess. If Hogwarts could be anything other than comforting. I’m sorry I left so suddenly, but I think you would have understood if you knew… just yeah. Actually, I was wondering that - where have you been?

Fear | Sungyeol and Woori ←

sungyeolpuff:

The icy glare coming from the young witch almost had him scurrying for help, but he kept his ground and managed to stay amid the intimidation the girl made him feel. He read the spine of the book. Everest, named after the highest mountain on Earth. She didn’t even speak another word as she returned back to reading. Sungyeol simply nodded, albeit it was still unclear for him as to what the book was about. Maybe it was about the mountain itself? He was sure of it. Well, not really, but judging by the title alone, it seemed so appropriate. But, he made no move to even ask her since she obviously did not want to be disturbed, so he just returned to whatever his mind would concoct him to do.

Sungyeol tried writing on the small scroll he had brought up to the library. He wrote diligently the notes from the book for study keeping later. Though honestly, Sungyeol had really mastered it now, so he felt no need to even do it anymore. But when boredom stroke, Sungyeol really did not have anything better to do. Sighing, he decided to take notes of a subject he actually had difficulty in. Transfiguration. Sitting up and grabbing the book, he probably relieved the younger girl, thinking that finally, he was going away. But that assumed relief was short lived as he returned with a book in hand. He did the necessary note taking, his quill gliding smoothly against the parchment. Soon after, he was done, and was, once again, faced with nothing to do. He looked at the girl again, a Slytherin, he deduced, and sighed. That nagging feeling in his head kept on ringing until finally, he couldn’t take it anymore.

“What’s it about?”, Sungyeol asked after a few minutes. He waited for the impact, the calm before the storm, the coup de grace, or whatever it was called. Seeing the girl tense up, Sungyeol could easily read her body language. She was annoyed, and it seemed like her already cold exterior would lash out the blades of her metaphorical icicles.

Merlin help him.

Woori had nearly let out a soft sigh of relief when she heard the familiar scratchings of a quill against the rough texture that was parchment. That had meant the boy had properly and most intelligently given up. Good for him. That is until she heard his sigh and looked at him. The same stoic expression crossing her features, that is except for the bulging vein that was heatedly rising up and own at the side of her neck, minimal at sight but still easily noticeable if one was truly looking. The vein only meant one thing, she was nearly done with her patience. Just a second or so more and she would be ready to burst. Woori knew she wouldn’t be able to keep her temper down for too long but she hoped it would be low enough for the boy to be able to get off without being harmed. She never really intentionally nor planned to harm others, it just came to be so when they annoyed her. Like now for instance.

She truly believed it wasn’t her fault. It wasn’t her fault for the next couple of minutes, her mind had gotten her actions out of control and hand. Her notions were all but voluntary. Within the counter seconds that her train of thought had paused, Woori had straightened up. Height equivalent to the average teenage girl. But applied to look shorter considering the mishap in her stature Not too tall nor too short, merely average yet unmistakably slim for her average teenage age. The hard-cover book was held tightly in one hand, fingers growing white at the tightening grip she had fixed onto the novel. Her face quickly flickered into one of oblivious poise, lips circling themselves into a surprised ‘o’. “What?” The one syllable sounded so icely said that Woori felt a smile taunting itself right across her lips. “Did I hear you correctly?” Her hand moved itself to the left, where the boy was seated. Quickly the book made contact with the side of his face, one small slap sounded more painful than those of a million and one. The hard-cover hit the skin of his cheek, the sight of it had Woori blinking indifferently. The reddening covering of tissue was quick to bloom against the pale canvas of white.

“Woops. Now, what was your question?” She asked, innocently balancing the book in her hand once more, but this time placing an equal distance of the novel in between them. “Oh, right. What is this book about. Well, first of all - it’s about this boy. He was being oh so nosy. One day, he started talking to this girl. And of course, this girl was minding nothing but her own business, not even acknowledging him until he mistakenly decided he wanted to drive his very annoying hind into her bubble of space. Hey - perhaps you can relate. You’re both annoying and an idiot. Just like this dimbo in my book.” She iced her words with a smirk, eyes marveling themselves back into their intimidating glaze of the darkest brown, depth hiding them to look more black rather than the warm, welcoming color of coffee. “Would you like to know the ending?” She asked, though this time Woori hoped he was smart enough to realize the question was rhetorical.

Merlin, please save him from his idiocy.

assumptions || yoonhye & woori ←

sly-yoonhye:

Slytherins were always known for their pure bloods, Yoonhye knew that for sure. If you think pure blood, you think nicely raised kids who were born into the wizarding world and they were brought onto this planet in order for them to use their magical powers. The pure bloods in Slytherin were infamous for being cruel and sly and cunning, characteristics in which scared her the most. She never understood why she was sorted into this specific house anyway, it was as if the Sorting Hat just wanted her to be scared of her own housemates which was filled with the so called pure bloods. She instantly assumed that all pure bloods would make fun of her and be mean to her just because she was a mudblood. She loathed that word but honestly, after she arrived here, she’s gotten used to being called it. There were many famous pure blood Slytherins that intimidated many and one was sitting in the same room as her, sitting in the Slytherin common room couch right across from her. She couldn’t help but staring and observing the girl, Woori if she heard right from a fellow classmate, and the ways she behaved and acted.

Taking the moment to breathe, Woori looked down at the book she was reading. Eyes fixated on the riveting words that were nearly propelling off the page. Dramatic, much. In actuality, this might have been the most humdrum book she had ever come across of getting her hands upon. With a delicate roll of her dark-cast eyes, Woori snapped the book shut and without another word, threw the unhindered red hardcover over the shoulder of the couch she was seated upon. Eyes stoic and indifferent as the insignificant but definitely prominent clatter of the book hit the ground, instantly silencing the Slytherin common room - not that it was too lively to begin with but still, it was now close to dead silent at the pause of her book. Pursing her lips, she raised her hand, swishing it lightly as if to command the lot of them to resume their bidding, annoyance marked her features in a stilled expression. Looking around the room, a blonde girl sitting just a far-fetch from her had caught her eye, more-so because the other was blatantly and unabashedly staring at her. Or was that a glare, Woori was never really good at telling which from which so she just took it the other way. Clearing her throat quietly, she spoke, tone harsh and cold as she stared onward at the girl before her. “You do realize, staring is rude, right?”

You Lied To Me || Woori & Hoya. ←

howongryffie:

Words that travel from her lips didn’t seem to harm the boy, not one bit. Others may feel like words of alcohol stinging a wound of one’s arm of fear or notion to coward in danger and run like a fleeing mutt but to him its words of intrigued sense, as if in a book the chapters were drawing you in more and more. Having the same point to her. His mind grasping on what she said to him was, how can you say, enchanting. Not in the world someone spoke to him like that but he find it admirable. Who is she? Was all in the Gryffindor’s mind. A young girl whose posture is slender and curved as such of a delicate flower. Hair with colors of glowing red and brown that gleams in light of every angle. And eyes that seems to stare more into a person in such manner is hypnotizing. A small light flickered in his head.. almost like a memory.. but then, it was out again.

“Who are you again?” she asked him. Taking a second in hesitation, again. “I’m Lee Howon, or Hoya as other call me,” answering with no tone or expression “sixth year Gryffindor and as a returning student if I might add” having a gulp in his throat afterwards. Being a returning student will sure mean something but in the boy’s case, a memory of many things doesn’t recall only to know of a letter instructing him to go here and call himself a ‘returning student’. “What about you? May I know your name now?” cocking his head to the side with interested eyes about this girl. I just want to know your name.. talking to himself while relieving out a light sigh.

“Howon.” She tried once in a firm tone, justifying the name silently in her head, but rather than allowing it sink it for safe-keeping, she felt it slip thoroughly to the back of her mind as she stared at him, not once letting up her gaze. The hostile ache that was felt behind her retinas reminded her that she mustn’t glare at someone so harshly, especially a peer she had just gotten the acquaintance of knowing. Her right eyebrow plucked upward at the smallest mention of his. “Returning student?” Her voice echoed the remark with a hint of surprise. She hadn’t the slightest idea nor recollection of ever seeing him in the halls. But that may have been because they probably ran in different circles. There weren’t many Gryffindors that she hung around, just the tolerable select few that she had been involuntarily been kind to. How, she didn’t know herself but still - she knew a few but not too many to be able to say that what he was relaying could be a lie. He could have been a returning student for all she knew. Woori was never one to actually pay attention to anyone who neither had a gain or opportunity of high-rising for her.

She blinked, eyes softening slightly but to a degree that still had not let up the guard that glazed the sparkling orbs of a deep chestnut. The tint nearly comparable with the hue of her darkly streaked hair. Feeling the tips unconsciously underneath the pads of her fingers, she pursed her lips. As though withholding the information of her name for a second as she rounded up her thoughts into one strict line. Picking out whether she wanted to or did not agree to revealing her name. “Woori.” The lump in her throat smoothed, the subtle gulp had her dry throat relaxing. Lashes, counted a billion to one, were darkly brushing the upperside of her cheeks as she blinked. “My name is Go Woori.” A hand raised daintily, almost slyly to tuck a few of the fallen strays of jet black behind her ear once. The feeling of a knotted rustle roamed her insides. And with the feeling of now wanting to depart, she did so. Once more, she turned away from the unsuspecting boy. Hoping to Merlin that he wasn’t as persistent as he perceived himself to be. Persistent boys were nearly the death of her.

I would hug you, but you don’t like hugs so I’ll just pat your head. (/pats her head) Oh yeah, I was gone for a very long while. It sucked being away, but I had to take care of some things.

( This is going to be hard gdi. Does this mean she’s gotten meaner than she already was? )

-inches lower as he pats her head, a frown fiddling at the seam of her lips- Things? Hopefully they weren’t too bad..

[ ehh~ she’s more distant rather than mean, still the same meanness i guess. just bitter and all that heartbroken sh*t. ]
